And out

Quite suddenly one day George said, "I'm ready. I'm ready to go to school."

And my heart simultaneously dropped and soared.

I have loved our days together, and I will miss them. But I am so proud of him for feeling good about himself and about school and wanting to give regular school another try. When we pulled him out two years ago, he was so low, and now he is restored and happy and strong.

I've begun putting up the occasional bit on Life in Forsyth again. Please feel free to peek in on us over there and on Google+.

Thanks for keeping me company here, y'all. :)

It's been a grand and amazing undertaking (especially to I who have no kids; I have no idea how I could begin what you've undertaken).

Seems like a huge triumph for him to declare a readiness to head back to school.

Thanks, Bil! I have loved every minute, but I am also looking forward to getting back to the general world.

You're right -- it is a HUGE triumph for him to want to return to a place he was so stressed and miserable previously.

I hope you'll come peek at Life in Forsyth. It's different now, just writing for writing's sake really.

I shall! I find my own stays open for the same reason, to give an excuse to write. Nothing lately (well, some travelogs), but it goes in fits and starts. And that's OK.

It's fun to see your more random posts again!
